Let me start by saying that if you are a company that goes through a lot of document printing day in and day out then your laser toner cartridge cost is probably through the roof. An avoidable recurring cost you’re probably looking for a cheaper more cost effective way to do all of your laser printing. Well, there’s good news and bad news. Doing Your Homework BEFORE Buying Ink or Toner for Your Printer

Replacing ink or toner is one of the highest ongoing costs of having a printer, and those costs can get pretty high if you print a lot.   Fortunately, the introduction of lower cost alternatives to buying the OEM’s brand has helped to defray the costs. When shopping around for ink or toner,   there are a couple of questions to ask in regards to the cartridges the company sells: How thoroughly does the company inspect the cartridges before refilling? Do they check for cracks and other defects? Do they test the electrical parts of the cartridge and make sure that any used or worn parts are replaced? These questions are important because buying a cartridge that has just been refilled but not checked for quality could end up leaking ink all over the inside of your printer, making the costs saved in buying the cartridges useless when it just cost you your printer! Understand that there is a difference between remanufactured ink or toner cartridges and refilled cartridges.  With remanufactured ink or toner cartridges a good reputable company will check each cartridge in detail, making sure everything is fine with the existing cartridge, no cracks, no worn out parts, no broken [...]

If you need a remanufactured toner cartridge supplier, here are 3 things to consider before choosing

Did you know that remanufactured toner cartridges can actually exceed OEM cartridges in quality and yield? There has been a lot of research, development and testing done in the toner industry as of late, that not only helps you save money as a business but more importantly does not compromise on the print quality you get. So let’s look at this from your point of view. Let’s say you are a small to medium sized business or do a considerable amount of laser printing at home – what questions should you be asking potential remanufactured toner cartridge suppliers to know if you’re getting the best bang for your buck? Here are a few key questions you can start with: 1. In the testing phase what yield and density do your remanufactured toner cartridges produce? Essentially, the yield is the number of pages the remanufactured toner cartridge produces before it runs out of laser toner.  As per the industry standard make sure the testing is done at 5% page coverage.  For comparative purposes, you are looking for a page yield of x pages as measured at 5% page coverage. Also be vigilant of suppliers that just give you the OEM yield, [...]
