How to Buy a Laser Toner Cartridge for Dummies

If you’re looking to buy a laser toner cartridge and don’t know which one to get or are simply unaware of all your options – this article is for you. A laser toner cartridge differs from an inkjet cartridge in several ways.  Laser toner cartridges are widely-used in corporate offices and are not typically used at home, unless you’ve got a home office.  These kinds of cartridges are about 9-12 inches long and generally come in black although colour laser toner cartridges are also available. Colour toner cartridges can be a lot more costly and for that reason they aren’t as common as the black variety. The majority of businesses in most cases really only need black for everyday document printing. As a result of the production of remanufactured, compatible and refilled cartridge alternatives when considering purchasing toner for your printer, their price tag isn’t as high as it is to purchase brand new Manufacturer or OEM cartridges.  It is advised to pick an appropriate trustworthy vendor of cartridges because purchasing your laser toner cartridge from a seller who doesn’t value quality could end up damaging your machine. Laser Ink Cartridges FINALLY Demystified!

Found this post while searching for laser ink? When our clients ask us for laser ink we find it amusing. Why? Simply because “laser ink” does not exist! If laser ink is a part of your office vocabulary, here’s what you need to know: 1)      Ink and toner are two VERY different products 2)      Laser printers and inkjet printers use totally different technologies 3)      Laser printers use “toner” and Inkjet printers use “ink” Correct phrases to use would be “laser toner” or “inkjet ink cartridges.” “Laser ink” is actually very misleading. How did laser ink become a widely used phrase? Well, the truth is unsuspecting consumers’ use the term to search online and many online companies take advantage of this fact by labeling their ink or toner products as “laser ink.” This actually confuses consumers’ even more when deciding which cartridge to buy for their printer. For example, we’ve had people think that laser toners actually use “ink” like liquid ink that you find in inkjet cartridges, when in reality laser printers use a fine dry powder made from carbon mixed with a polymer that is burned by a laser to form the print on paper. Hence the word “laser [...]

How to Choose a Laser Toner Cartridge

Wondering what a laser toner cartridge is? Well firstly, a laser toner cartridge is different from ink-jet in many ways.  Laser toner cartridges are used in commercial offices and not generally used at home.  A laser toner cartridge is about 9-12 inches in length and typically comes filled with black toner although color is also available.  Color printers tend to be much more expensive and therefore aren’t as popular as the black only printers, and most offices usually only need black for everyday document printing. Thanks to the creation of remanufactured, compatible and refilled options when it comes to toners, their cost isn’t as high as it is to buy new OEM cartridges.  It is recommended to find a reputable seller of cartridges because buying them from a dealer who doesn’t care about quality could end up ruining your machine with a faulty cartridge. A laser toner cartridge comes in many different types. There are OEM (which stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer) which are cartridges from the same company as the printer brand (e.g. HP brand cartridges for an HP brand printer).  The next type is compatible cartridges, which are exactly what they sound like.  They are NOT from the [...]
