Make sure your ink cartridges do not dry out! The amusing fact about inkjet cartridges is that once your ink cartridge is installed in your printer and you don’t use it all that often – you’ll in fact throw money away as there are probabilities it can dry up. To avoid this from occurring we suggest you print a page or two every couple of days. If you’re vacationing or won’t need any prints for several weeks here are a few easy steps you can try to prevent your inkjet cartridges from drying up:
Take out the ink cartridges from your inkjet printer and stick tape on the holes on top of the ink cartridge (for closing moisture and keeping it in). Put each ink cartridge in an air-tight Ziploc bag (make sure to use different bags for black and colour cartridges) and secure. Fundamentally the tape inhibits moisture from getting out of the cartridge, which in turn prevents it from drying up.
Practicing these basic steps can help sustain your ink cartridges and extend ink cartridge life, allowing you to literally squeeze every dollar you can out of them.
